Endobronchial ultrasound

Workshop Details

Date: April 26 2024
Time: 09:00-12:50
Venue: South Lounge, 3F, Taipei International Convention Center
NTD 1,800 (≒USD 60)
Capacity: 50 (including 15 for hands-on experience)

Format of the Workshop

In the initial 2 hours, two experts will introduce the radial-Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS)/ Guide sheath system and convex-EBUS/ Transbronchial Needel Aspiration (TBNA) system. In the following 1hour 40mins, we will arrange hands-on learning course about interpretation for radial-EBUS & convex-EBUS image and how to operate guiding sheath system & TBNA system.

Learning Objectives

From the lectures and hands-on, we wish our participants could understand the principles of radial-/convex-EBUS, how to interpretate the image, and the tips of manipulate guide sheath/ TBNA biopsy devices.

Introduction

Tissue is issue. No matter benign or malignant diseases, adequate tissue sample is important. Since the advent of radial and convex-EBUS, they are the most important tools for peripheral lung lesions and mediastinal lymph nodes sampling with minimal invasion. Indeed, the two techniques are the basic procedures of interventional pulmonology. In this workshop, we hope our participants could learn when and how to use radial and convex EBUS, how to interpretate the EBUS image, and operate guide sheath/ TBNA devices correctly.
